Princess Catherine hugs cancer patient in first photograph of her returning to work after chemotherapy

Princess Catherine said the strength and creativity of Liz Hatton inspired her and the Prince of Wales.
Catherine, Princess of Wales has been photographed embracing a teenager with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in one of her first appearances since returning to work.
Liz Hatton, a 16-year-old aspiring photographer, was invited to Windsor Castle to take pictures at an investiture.
Princess Catherine, who recently ended her treatment for cancer, said Ms Hatton's story had inspired her and her husband.
On the royal couple's X account, they shared the photograph of the hug and posed for pictures with the teen's family.
"A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today," they wrote.
"A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength have inspired us both.
"Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us."

Liz Hatton and her family pose for a picture with the Prince and Princess of Wales.
On her social media, Ms Hatton said she was "over the moon" she could meet the royals with her family.
"Such lovely, genuine and kind people."
She began a photography bucket list after her cancer — a desmoplastic small round cell tumour — was diagnosed in January.
Some of her images were shared on the Kensington Royal social media account including photos of cyclist Sir Mark Cavendish and soccer player Karen Carney.
She was invited to the event after Prince William learnt of her story through his patronage of London's Air Ambulance Charity.
First public appearance since return to work
In early September Catherine released a statement confirming her course of chemotherapy had ended.
She confirmed that she would return to a light program of external engagements in the months following the video.
The 42-year-old underwent abdominal surgery in January, and was seldom seen publicly in the weeks after.
Her absence sparked intense speculation from the media and the public.
In March she revealed her cancer diagnosis, and that she was receiving treatment.
In the video message last month, the princess described the past nine months as "incredibly tough".
It is unclear how much work she will take on in the coming months.
It is understood she is planning to attend Remembrance Sunday commemorations at the Cenotaph in London in November and host a carol service in December.
